Marc Maron and Danny Fields discuss Damone Ramone…briefly.

The current episode of the WTF podcast is a fascinating discussion between rock and roll impresario Danny Fields and the brilliant and hilarious host: the comedian, writer, and actor Marc Maron. Danny Fields discusses his time at Andy Warhol’s factory and his difficulties with Jim Morrison when he worked as The Doors’ publicist. He explains his role in the infamous Beatles “More popular than Jesus” incident that sparked protests and record burnings in the United States. He discusses discovering and signing Detroit’s MC5 and Iggy and the Stooges, and his management of the Ramones, among other topics.

Toward the end of their conversation at the 1:37 mark, Danny and Mark discuss Damone Ramone: A Rock and Roll Betrayal. The episode is here: http://www.wtfpod.com/

Marc Maron’s book is called Waiting for the Punch, a collection of some of his best conversations with actors, writers, comedians, politicians (President Obama), and others:
